Dakshina Chitra 20 items

In 2021, Gwillim Project Partner Institution, DakshinaChitra Museum in Chennai, developed a project to engage young women with the Gwillim Archives. They looked at the archives online then used digital cameras in a re-photography project to document historic places in Chennai based on the images in the Gwillim Archives.

The majority of the photographs were taken by Rekha Vijayashankar. Thanks to Deborah Thiagarajan and the staff of the DakshinaChitra Museum, Chennai.
